Man jailed after pointing gun at three individuals and a child during argument

29-year-old Quantez Coleman was charged with four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon when an argument over a loan with his child’s uncle escalated to him pointing a gun at four individuals.

On June 17th, Quantez Coleman was involved in a domestic incident at 610 South 6th Street. According to affidavits, Coleman was arguing with Rickey Knight about a past due loan when he also got into an altercation with the mother of his child Myeshia Williams. Williams is also Knight’s sister.

The argument escalated to the extent that Coleman pulled out a handgun and pointed it at his child, Williams, Knight, and Knight’s girlfriend Brittany Gassaway. Williams told Coleman the police were on the way prompting him to flee on foot. Knight’s mother was also present and corroborated the events.

On July 22nd, Quantez Coleman was arrested and charged with four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He is jailed in lieu of a $200,000 bond.
