36-year-old Michelle Wade was charged with domestic assault after she slapped, strangled, and punched her mother for refusing to give her the TV remote, per report.
On June 27th, officers were called to 333 Rio Vista Drive in reference to a domestic assault. Upon arrival, Thomasina Quinn reported that she and her daughter Michelle Wade were involved in an argument about the TV remote. When she refused to give her the remote, Michelle got up and slapped her mother in the face. Thomasina said she then slapped Michelle back.
Michelle then grabbed her mother’s throat with both hands and tried to strangle her. When asked why she stopped, Michelle said she just stopped and started punching her in the head and face. Thomasina told police she never had issues breathing or lost consciousness during the incident. Officers noted they observed scratch marks on Thomasina’s face, along with a torn shirt and a knot on her head.
Michelle Wade was arrested and charged with domestic assault. Her bond was set at $1,500.
