Charges dropped against man who told Metro Police “GTFOH” and “I’m not under arrest”

56-year-old Ernest Bashlor was charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest when officers were called to a construction site where he was asleep by a barricade and said to them “get the fu*k out of here” and “no I’m not under arrest” while refusing to comply with their orders.

On June 24th, Metro Nashville Police were called to a construction site where a man was sleeping. According to the affidavit, they woke Ernest Bashlor up and asked him to leave the premises.

Officers noted he smelled of booze and exhibited sign of intoxication. Bashlor told the authorities “get the fuck out of here” and “I’m not leaving”and they told him he was under arrest. Bashlor told them “No, I’m not under arrest” and proceeded to tuck his arms making it difficult to cuff him.

Ernest Bashlor was charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest. His bond was set at $2,500. The charges were later dropped on June 26th.
