24-year-old Qkarika Cochran was charged with domestic assault after punching and kicking her boyfriend because he mentioned going to Mt. Juliet. The attack required him to seek medical attention and he was later transported to TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center.

On May 29th, officers were dispatched to 270 Tampa Drive in regards to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, law enforcement made contact with Courtland Cooper-Green, who informed officers that he had recently moved back into the residence with his girlfriend, Qkarika Cochran. Cooper-Green stated to have told Cochran of his plans to go to Mt. Juliet, to which she reportedly responded by telling him to leave the apartment. According to the affidavit, Cochran quickly became physical, punching, and kicking at Cooper-Green’s face and stomach during the dispute.

Cooper-Green was able to distance himself from Cochran out of self-defense and began to contact law enforcement. While Cooper-Green was placing the emergency call, Cochran and her child vacated the premises in an unidentified vehicle, per report. Officers observed injuries sustained to Cooper-Green’s face in the form of cuts and blood on both sides of his face. The man also suffered pain in his stomach from Cochran’s assault, leading to medical attention being requested on the scene.

Cooper-Green was later transported to TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center. The man elected not to prosecute for the attack. The two parties are known to have a domestic history, as Cochran was detained for a December incident for domestic assault and violation of an order of protection on Cooper-Green.

On June 17th, Qkarika Cochran was arrested and charged for domestic assault. Her bond was set at $2,000.
