25-year-old Joneisha Waters was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, interference with a 911 call, and vandalism after she threatened her sister at knifepoint while she was holding her 1-year-old baby.
On June 18th, close to 3 pm at 67 Hickory Hollow Place, police spoke to Makayla Winters who was a victim of a domestic disturbance. She told police that Joneisha Waters had left the scene before they got there in a gold Chevrolet. The two live together and are sisters, she told police, and began arguing that day after built-up tension. Waters was in the process of moving out. Tension was built because of rent but that day Waters became upset and started blaming Winters for damaging her property.
Winters said that Waters entered her room brandishing a knife in an aggressive manner and threatening her. Her one-year-old son was in her hand while Waters was holding her at knifepoint, plus Waters damaged items in her room with the knife during the incident. When Winters tried to call 911 Waters smacked her phone out of her hand and shattered her screen which disconnected the phone call.
Joneisha Waters was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, interference with a 911 call, and vandalism. Her bond was set at $7,500.
