25-year-old Michael Oaks was charged with implied consent and driving under the influence when he was involved in a vehicle collision on Nolensville Pike. He could not tell officers what road he was on but denied drinking and refused a breathalyzer.
On May 17th, Nashville Metro Police were called to a vehicle crash near the CVS Pharmacy at 4709 Nolensville Pike. According to affidvaits, officers contacted Michael Oaks and found him to exhibit typical signs of impairment and smelling of adult beverages.
Oaks was not able to answer questions about the collision or his direction of travel but affirmed multiple times he was not injured. He denied having imbibed booze, displayed signs of impairment on field sobriety tasks, and refused to participate in a breath test.
Michael Oaks was arrested and charged with implied consent and driving under the influence of an intoxicant. He was later freed on pre-trial release.
