34-year-old Maria Machigua-Turcios was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after her boyfriend reported to police that she had stabbed him with a knife.
On April 21st, Roberto Herrera-Estrada reported to police that he had been stabbed with a knife by his girlfriend Maria Machigua-Turcios. When officers arrived, they found Maria outside in the driveway.
Officers noted that Roberto was inside the house and had obvious bruises to both forearms and a laceration on his left shoulder that appeared to be caused by a knife. According to the affidavit, the knife was found on a television stand near the front of the house. Roberto told officers he was stabbed in the hallway.
Maria Machigua-Turcios was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Her bond was set at $25,000.
