23-year-old Tristan French was charged with public intoxication after he was found to be the passenger of a vehicle involved in a DUI arrest and officers found him to be argumentative after he jumped on top of the wall of a bridge and then stumbled into traffic.
On March 30th, police observed a Nissan Versa traveling 68 mph in a 40 mph zone. Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop and the vehicle failed to pull over at first. Eventually, the vehicle stopped and the driver was arrested for DUI. Tristan French was the passenger of the vehicle. Police attempted to obtain a ride home for Tristan but he was being argumentative.
Tristan jumped on top of the wall of the bridge where the traffic stop took place. Officers got Tristan down for his own safety, but then he stumbled into a lane of traffic and resisted when police attempted to pull him back. Tristan was taken into custody for his own safety and transported to booking.
Tristan French was arrested and charged with public intoxication. The charge was later dismissed.
