Drunken tourist tells MNPD ‘just take me to jail’; they oblige

21-year-old Alahna Leonardo was taking a mini-vacation to the Opryland Hotel this weekend, when police say she got so intoxicated she was unsteady and slurring her speech. She called Metro Police to report a stolen wallet but decided to just walk back to the hotel when they arrived and then told them ‘Just take me to jail!’ – they did.

Metro Nashville Police responded to a report of a stolen wallet at 3:30 a.m. Monday morning. Upon arrival, they met with Alahna Leonardo, 21, who decided she didn’t need to report her wallet stolen, after all. She refused the report and stated she just wanted to walk back to her hotel.

Noticing she was unsteady on her feet, and smelled of alcohol, according to an arrest warrant, police requested her to take a taxi service back to her hotel, which she also refused, stating ‘just take me to jail. Alahna C. Leonardo was transported to booking, and charged with public intoxication by Officer Jeremy Arrington. After spending nearly 9 hours in jail, she was released and the charge was dismissed.
