Grand Jury indicts Lipscomb Student Sam Salib in 2018 rape case

21-year-old Sam Salib was taken into custody Friday on an outstanding grand jury indictment charging him with 3 counts of rape in 2018, while he was a sophomore at Lipscomb University.

According to the indictment, Salib is charged with raping a young female in September of 2018. Witnesses during the Grand Jury proceedings included several Lipscomb students, Lipscomb University Campus Security, and MNPD. Salib is held in lieu of a $100,000 bond and is schedule to appear for video arraignment on August 28th.
