28-year-old Candice Nicole Gamble remains jailed on a $22,000 bond today, after a Friday night arrest charging her with DUI – 4th Offense, at which time she told police she was on the way to pick up her five-year-old child.
Metro Nashville Police responded to a single car accident on Graycroft Avenue at 10:18 p.m. Friday night, to find a black 2000 Hyundai Accent which had left the road and struck a utility pole. NFD medics arrived to care for the driver of the vehicle, 28-year-old Candice Gamble. As the driver was speaking to medics, Metro Police Officer Christopher Littles observed Gamble trying to hide a bottle of pills in her bra. The bottle was recovered, and found to be five Buprenorphine pills, 8 mg each. Officer Littles says he also overheard Gamble tell medics she had been consuming beer, smoking marijuana, and taking pills.

He says Gamble admitted to having marijuana in her purse, and he recovered a blunt from the purse. Gamble told the officer she was on the way to pick up her five-year-old daughter when she was driving the car and crashed.
