6.25 pounds marijuana in pizza delivery bag discovered in luggage at Nashville Airport

Late Thursday night, luggage was being processed at the Nashville International Airport (BNA) from a Southwest flight from Oakland, California. A THP K-9 alerted to a bag, which belonged to Dalan Jason Snow, 25. Police report the bag was a hard sided roller bag that had a strong odor of both “raw marijuana and Febreeze”.

Plainclothes detective Kessker was able to locate snow as he disembarked the aircraft, and Snow reportedly consented to a search of his bag, and was eventually taken to an office to unlock the bag.  Snow told officers they would find approximately 5 pounds of marijuana in the bag, and that he was selling it to pay for court fees for a previous narcotics arrest from last year.

Detectives opened the bag, and found 7 vacuum sealed bags of high-grade marijuana, each with a dryer sheet sealed inside. All of the bags were concealed in a pizza delivery style bag that was inside the suitcase.

Dalan Jason Snow was arrested for felony possession with intent, and booked into a Nashville jail at 11:49 p.m. and was released on the pre-trial program at 1:25 a.m., less than two hours later. He is scheduled to appear in court in March. His home address is listed as Washington, D.C.
