Erick Archibald, 21, Charged in Murder of Moniteon Smith, 19, on Clifton Ave

Erick Archibald, 21, was arrested today on a grand jury indictment charging him with the December 3, 2016 shooting death of Moniteon Smith, 19, in a parking lot of Swett’s Restaurant at 2725 Clifton Avenue.

According to police, Smith had driven into the lot and waited approximately ten minutes before another vehicle parked next to him at 5:30 p.m.  Smith got into the passenger side of that car where an apparent struggle ensued.  The passenger door opened and Smith fell to the ground.

Archibald, of South 6th Street, is charged with first-degree murder and especially aggravated robbery.  He is being held on $150,000 bond.
