DUI ARREST: Nashville Musician Evan Lee

Nashville musician Evan Lee was arrested just after 5AM Wednesday morning for DUI (Driving Under the Influence). Lee is currently being held in lieu of a $2,000 bond at the Hill Detention Center in Nashville. Unless he makes bail, he will have a review hearing on Thursday 8/10/2017 at 9:45 AM.

In a related arrest, the vehicle owner, Bonner Black, was also charged with ‘DUI per se – Owner; and is also being held on a $2,000 bond. 

UPDATE: As of 8AM – Both Black & Lee were released under the pre-trial release program, and will have court on 09/08.

 

From the affidavit:

On 8/09/2017 at approximately 0259 hours I observed a white vehicle in front of me that was drifting within its lane, made contact with the broken center line on at least three occasions. I conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver, suspect. While speaking to the suspect I could smell the obvious odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his expelled breath and person, his eyes were blood shot and watery, and he admitted to consuming three bud light beers. Based on the driving observed, indicators of impairment observed during my personal contact, and his admission to consuming an alcoholic beverage I requested he perform SFST’s which he agreed to do. The suspect was taken into custody for DUI based on the driving observed, indicators of impairment observed during my personal contact, indicators of impairment observed during the SFST’s, and his admission to consuming an alcoholic beverage. The suspect was read implied consent and agreed to take a breath test. The suspect was only able to provide one valid sample and was given the opportunity to take a blood test which he agreed to do. The blood test was conducted at general hospital.
