133 new Tennessee laws go into effect tomorrow, July 1st, 2017. Here’s the list of what you need to know!
- Gas tax increases by 4 cents
- Vehicle registration increases by $5 regular, $100 electric
- You can buy/own/use a firearm silencer in TN now
- Teachers classroom supply funds doubled
- Protesting/blocking a public street is now a crime, if emergency vehicles are restricted.
- Voter Fraud get an additional $1000 fine, and a $1000 reward for the tipster
- Caller ID Spoofing that causes harm/or in use of a crime is now illegal
- No Abortions past 20 weeks
- Veterans can display flags, regardless of HOA rules
- You can paint a tree with purple paint to indicate no trespassing
- Every school will have an armed intruder/active shooter drill yearly
- Your pregnant underage teen can be treated by a NP without your consent or knowledge.
- Credit card interest rates can increase to 30%, from the previous 21%
