Grammy nominee charged after reportedly interrupting wife’s 911 call during argument

53-year-old Otto Price was charged with interference with an emergency call after his wife and son reported he shattered a plate and took a phone from his scared wife’s hands during an argument over taking out the trash.

On January 8th, 2018, Metro Nashville Police officers responded to a disturbance call at the home of Otto and Patricia Price. According to the affidavit, the married couple got into a verbal argument about the trash getting taken out.

During the argument, Otto reportedly grabbed a plate and shattered it on the floor. Patricia stated she was scared and attempted to call the police, but Otto grabbed the phone from her hands. At this point their son, Patrick Price, got involved and struggled with Otto over the phone. Once Patrick got ahold of the phone, the police were called. Patrick was able to corroborate Patricia’s story when officers took statements.

On December 2nd, Otto Price was arrested and charged with interference with an emergency call. He was later released on a $1,000 bond.
