Man charged after ex-roommate tells police he was greeted with barrage of punches

22-year-old Logan Collins was charged with domestic assault after a roommate he hadn’t seen in three years reported he drove to a Publix and assaulted him.

On May 18th, Metro Nashville Police responded to a domestic assault outside a Publix, located at 4606 Lebanon Pike. According to the affidavit, David Halliburton told police he was leaving Publix to return to his vehicle when Logan Collins, his roommate three years prior, pulled up next to him.

David reported when he exited his vehicle, Logan pummeled him while he was pinned to a van. David said he raised his arms to block Logan’s punches. After approximately 20 strikes, Logan got back into his truck and left the scene. Officers noted David had visible bruising to his right hand and that he reported body aches.

On November 24th, Logan Collins was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was released on a $1,000 bond.
