Man assaults brother with a bat and tire thumper while arguing about their father’s money

57-year-old Kenneth Woods was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon when an argument started between him and his brother about their father’s money that ended with him hitting his brother several times with a bat and tire thumper.

On July 28th, Adam Woods told police that he was the victim of a domestic assault by his brother, Kenneth Woods, at 8346 Riley Adcock Road at 2:30 pm that day.

Adam said that he and his brother were arguing about their father’s money. Kenneth told police that he shoved Adam and kicked him in self-defense after Adam lunged at him. Police, however, noticed several long abrasions on Adam’s lower and upper body. Adam told police that Kenneth hit him several times with a bat and tire thumper, and the officer noticed that his left leg was swollen and believed it to be broken.

Kenneth Woods was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bond was set at $7,500.
