32-year-old Brandon Little was charged with driving and possession of a handgun while under the influence when he wrecked into a ditch after consuming 5 Xanax bars. He told officers he “just popped a benzo and went for a drive”.
On June 10th, Metro Nashville Police responded to a vehicle wreck with injuries at 8740 Poplar Creek Road. According to affidavits, driver Brandon Little was on a gurney in the back of an ambulance, incoherent, and unable to remain lucid to any degree. Little stated he had “popped a benzo and went for a drive”. The passenger of the vehicle, Rachel, confirmed Little lost control and crashed into a ditch.
Rachel also told authorities that he had consumed five Xanax bars and smoked cannabis before the wreck. Little was too bombed to follow simple instructions and noted it was futile to attempt to administer sobriety tests. Little couldn’t function in the hospital and was persistently belligerent. He could not pee in a cup and attempted to take the handcuffs off for hours. The report also stated that a Ruger P95 9mm pistol was found in the car.
Brandon Little was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and possession of a handgun while under the influence. He was later freed on pre-trial release.
