43-year-old Martin Aguilar was charged with driving with no driver’s license and resisting arrest after he told police during a traffic stop for expired tags that he left his license at home, then inadvertently reported two different birth years, and finally admitting to having no license.
On May 28th, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired tags fro November 2019. Driving the vehicle was the defendant, Martin Aguilar, who did not have any form of identification on him when police asked. Martin stated that he had accidentally left it at home. When the officer asked him for his name and birthday he mistakenly told the officer two different birth years but the right month and day.
The officer said that he could not confirm Martin’s identification so he was placed into custody, which he resisted by pulling his arms away and pushing off the patrol car causing the officer to lose his balance. It took three officers to detain him because he continued to resist after the officer called for back up. No one was injured during the incident.
Martin Aguilar was arrested and charged with not having a driver’s license and resisting arrest. He was later freed on pre-trial release.
