“I got tired of listening to her, so I grabbed my glass and swung!” That’s the statement 24-year-old Chaselyn Chance gave Metro Police Friday as they charged her with aggravated assault with serious bodily injury at an East Nashville bar.

Metro Police responded to a Duke’s bar in East Nashville early Friday morning to a report of a bar fight. They found that Chaselyn Chance was in a verbal argument with another patrol, and then escalated the situation when she, by her own admission, took a glass bottle and swung it at the victim, hitting her. The victim sustained what Nashville Fire Department reported as a “severe and deep 5 inch laceration to her neck from the broken glass, which possibly still has glass inside her neck at time of transport to Skyline”.
