Dustin Ranger, 29, was arrested and charged with public intoxication Friday night, while attending a fundraiser for Westminster School for Young Children with his wife, at the Clementine event space on Charlotte Pike.
Metro police responded to a disturbance call at 4710 Charlotte pike, where the fundraiser was being held. According to witnesses at the event, Ranger allegedly head-butted his wife during an altercation, and venue security intervened in the incident. . He then attempted to flee the area, but was stopped by venue security in a nearby alley. His wife left the area and could not be located by police.
Due to his level of apparent intoxication, police deemed him to be a danger to himself and others in the vicinity, and took him to booking for his own safety, charged with public intoxication. He was released a few hours later.
