Paulina Ceja Sanchez found with packaged heroin and marijuana during traffic stop

21-year-old Paulina Ceja Sanchez was in the passenger seat of a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was traveling the wrong way on a one-way street in downtown Nashville on January 16. During a subsequent traffic stop, officers smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle, and a probable cause search was conducted. In a zipper bag which she claimed, officers located 13.5 grams of marijuana and individually packaged capsules with a folded piece of paper in each, which contained 0.9 grams of heroin. A loaded Sig P365 was also located, along with scales and a grinder.

DUI: Chelsea Chamberlain crashed into Belmont Blvd home after drinking at nearby bar

Police say 28-year-old Chelsea Chamberlain crashed her vehicle into the front of a multi-million dollar home on Belmont Blvd, owned by Attorney Robert Eric Thornton, causing significant structural damage. The homeowner says she and a passenger fled the scene after the crash but caught up with them about 100 feet away, which is where officers located everyone involved. Chelsea says she was attempting to take her friend home at the time of the accident and admitted she had been drinking at a bar down the street. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and blew a 0.179% BAC on a breathalyzer.

Renauld Clayton charged in downtown DUI, argues he passed field sobriety tests

Police say 35-year-old Renauld Clayton made an illegal u-turn at 11th & Broadway, just one block away from his home, just after 11 p.m. Wednesday. Officers conducted a traffic stop and reported immediately smelling alcohol as they approached the vehicle. He claimed not to have consumed any alcohol, but his female passenger claimed the smell was coming from her. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests, despite arguing that he passed them all. He was taken into custody and charged with DUI. In 2020, Clayton was sentenced to 32 months in federal prison for his student loan fraud scheme at Tennessee State University, where he was an employee.

DUI: Cameron Sathngam crashes into stranger’s car & garage — blows .241% BAC

30-year-old Cameron Sathngam drove his 2006 Nissan Maxima into a stranger’s driveway at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, striking their parked vehicle and colliding with their garage door. Officers arrived and noted his extreme level of intoxication. Cameron stated, “I just hit the car,” but could not recall any events that led up to the crash. He attempted to hand officers his credit card when asked for his proof of insurance. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and blew a 0.241% BAC on a breathalyzer — more than triple the legal limit.

Parker Jones spits in officer’s mouth, kicks another in testicles after fighting parents

Police say 18-year-old Richard Parker Jones (AKA rparkeyjones from the forklift video) was in an argument with his parents, upset they would not co-sign a car loan for him. Officers responded to the Whitworth Way home of Donald Bradly Jones and Beth Higgins Jones on the afternoon of January 16 after the teenager had punched his father in the face and head before placing him in a choke-hold in a fit of rage. The mother’s 911 call states her son was attempting to strangle his father, then pushed his mother. The parents eventually restrained him, but he escaped their grasp after a short time and began to punch holes throughout the walls of the home before fleeing. Officers encountered him nearby, and as they were taking him into custody, he kicked Officer Blake Langford in the testicles, spit into Officer Jared Dick’s mouth, and spit on Sgt. Ky Luu. Jones was restrained and contained, and transported to booking. At the time of his arrest, Jones had an outstanding warrant charging him with the theft of two cases of White Claws from a Nashville Mapco store.

Tourist Adam Foulke charged with assault of his girlfriend in downtown Nashville hotel

Metro Nashville Police officers responded to the Sentral SoBro on January 18 after residents reported a loud argument coming from the hallway near the elevator. Officers arrived and could hear 26-year-old Adam Foulke screaming for his girlfriend, Samantha Moore, to go to bed as she screamed for him to let her leave. Initially, neither person would answer the knocks at the door, but eventually, Samantha opened the door, and they both exited. She explained they had an argument over her phone being stolen that turned physical when Adam grabbed her and threw her onto the ground, then pushed her into a wall. Police documented multiple bruises and abrasions on the victim at the scene. Adam denied everything and said she was the one that had assaulted him, and he simply “placed her in the bedroom” to stop her from kicking him. Adam was determined to be the primary aggressor and was taken into custody.

Ateet Upadhyaya resists arrest after causing disturbance in downtown Nashville

Metro Nashville Police encountered a very intoxicated 35-year-old Ateet Upadhyaya outside the Lucky Bastard Saloon in downtown Nashville on January 15 as he was repeatedly walking over to a group of strangers and interrupting their evening and being a general annoyance. Officers noted if his behavior didn’t stop, a fight would likely break out. Ateet walked away a few feet and then reached both hands out and grabbed two random individuals by their necks, assaulting them. Officers attempted to gain control of Ateet to place him into custody and eventually had to pin him against a wall to gain compliance.

Kaiser Aluminum executive Edgar Scott charged in assault of wife at Nashville Hotel

58-year-old tourist Edgar Scott of Idaho was jailed Thursday evening, charged with the domestic assault of his wife, Karen Scott. Security video from the Four Seasons Hotel shows Edgar in the valet area when Karen walks up to him. He then shoves his wife to the ground at 5:53 p.m., causing a serious injury that resulted in her being transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment. Despite the video, Edgar told police “nothing physical occurred” and claimed they were just trying to get back to their hotel. He admitted to drinking and was heavily intoxicated, according to Metro Nashville Police. Edgar Scott is the Vice President of Environmental and Governmental Affairs for Kaiser Aluminum.

Chase Mitchell (Mr. 615) charged with gun and meth possession in Nashville

39-year-old Chase Mitchell, known locally as “Mr. 615”, was pulled over in a traffic stop late Thursday night due to the license plate not matching the vehicle he was driving on Old Hickory Blvd. He told Officer Bryan Malone, “I must have put the wrong tag on the vehicle; I own a car lot.” As Mitchell reached into the glove box to retrieve the registration, officers observed a TEC-9 gun on the floorboard and asked Mitchell to step away. Mitchell stated he also had a 9mm Ruger in his front pocket when asked. After securing both firearms, it was discovered Case Mitchell was a convicted felon. Nossi Adriana Lamb steals hard drives from ex-lover, refuses to return them

In November, 32-year-old Nossi Adriana Lamb arrived at the home of her ex-boyfriend, Andrew Muller, with movers to gather some of her belonging. At some point during the morning, he discovered Nossi and the movers in the basement where he keeps his recording equipment and told them to leave the basement as they had no business down there. After they left, he discovered a printer and external hard drives had been stolen. He provided the police with receipts for the items. A conversation with Nossi’s father revealed she had taken the hard drives, and he claimed they would be returned after her “intellectual property” was removed from the drives. After she never returned the drives, a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Jack Carpenter unable to handle his alcohol, found lying on downtown Nashville sidewalk

Metro Nashville Police responded to 3rd & Broadway early Thursday morning, where they found 25-year-old Jack Carpenter lying on the sidewalk in an extreme state of intoxication. Medics also arrived to assist due to his level of intoxication, and Carpenter became verbally aggressive with them, eventually refusing all assistance. He did not have a phone on him and was unable to provide officers with anyone to assist him back to where he was staying or the name of the place he was staying. He was given a place to stay for the evening, the Metro Nashville Jail, where he was charged with public intoxication.

20-year-old Shakeim “Wilton” Dunbar admits to snatching the wig off the head of his girlfriend, Robnique Goodner, during an argument on January 14. The two were in a verbal argument when he plucked the postiche from its position. Robnique told police it left a bald spot on her head, and they observed a small amount of dried blood in her ear. She reportedly hit him in self-defense during the hair heist. Dunbar was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

Funeral Director Melvin Smith fires warning shot after disagreement over pothole repair work

73-year-old Funeral Home Owner Melvin Smith, of Smith Brothers Funeral Directors on Monroe Street, hired Nalor Smith to repair some potholes in the parking lot of his North Nashville funeral home on January 7. When the job was complete, Smith reportedly broke their verbal agreement on the terms of the work and stated he wasn’t going to pay Nalor for his work. Nalor and his two employees prepared to dig up the work they had already completed since it wasn’t going to be paid for, and Melvin Smith brandished a handgun and first a shot into the air at 3:50 p.m. This placed all of the workers in fear, and they packed their things and waited for the police in the parking lot across the street.

Brandon Howard charged with P80 ghost gun and theft of 2022 Camry

18-year-old Brandon Howard told police, “I would have dusted y’all!” had it not been for the spike strips they deployed to stop him as he fled in a stolen Toyota Camry late Sunday night. He was driving a 2022 white Toyota Camry that was just stolen from Whites Creek Pike and was being tracked by its owner, who was relaying the information to police. With the assistance of AirOne, all three occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody after short foot pursuits. DUI: Armando Bucio vomiting from vehicle at Broadway intersection at 1 a.m.

27-year-old Armando Bucio was at the intersection of Broadway and 4th at 1:15 a.m. Saturday when officers observed him open his driver’s side door and vomit onto the ground. Officers approached to check on his welfare and immediately observed him to be extremely intoxicated. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and stated he had one Whisky & Coke and one shot of tequila prior to driving. He would later blow a 0.120% BAC on a breathalyzer.

Zachary Johnson charged with having a handgun while smoking out in his car at Percy Priest lake

29-year-old Zachary Johnson was in his vehicle at the Cook Day Use Area of Percy Priest Lake in the early hours of Saturday morning when an officer conducted a traffic stop on him due to the area being closed. While he was explaining that he was “playing on his phone,” the officer noticed a strong smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Johnson admitted to having a little bit of marijuana in the vehicle and that he had just smoked, too. He also advised of a firearm in the vehicle. A search revealed 14 grams of marijuana in the center console and an M&P Shield 9mm under the front passenger seat.

Josh Longo urinates on himself while leaning on MNPD vehicle in downtown Nashville

22-year-old Josh Longo was found leaning against a Metro Nashville Police vehicle on January 14th and was having difficulty staying upright, according to officers working the Entertainment District in downtown Nashville. He was scrolling on his cellphone as if he was using it; however, the battery was dead. As he was leaning, officers observed him urinate on himself as he struggled to stay upright. Officers attempted to find him a safe way home or contact his friends, but all efforts were unsuccessful. Longo also refused medical transport. He was eventually taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.
