East Nashville woman achieves highest BAC ever reported on Scoop: Nashville — Emily Warren

A concerned citizen observed 31-year-old Emily Warren drunk driving while nearly passed out near the intersection of N 11th St and Gallatin Ave in East Nashville. They convinced her to pull to the side of the road and took the keys from her ignition while waiting on police to arrive. Officers made contact with the woman, who told them she had one “tiki drink.” She was unable to complete field sobriety tests due to her level of intoxication. Once at booking, she blew a 0.372% BAC on a breathalyzer test — more than four times the legal limit. A range of 0.35% to 0.40% generally represents potentially fatal alcohol poisoning. 0.40% is the accepted lethal dose for about 50% of adult humans.

Jakob Ethridge flees from police, throws officer from car; free on pre-trial release

22-year-old Jakob Ethridge was booked into jail this week on outstanding warrants charging him with evading arrest and reckless endangerment during an attempted traffic stop in February. Police say they were conducting a traffic stop on Ethridge on February 2nd on Tulip Grove Road in Hermitage after observing him traveling 48 mph in a 30 mph zone. As officers approached the vehicle, which reeked of marijuana, they ordered him to step out of the vehicle. Ethridge suddenly restarted the engine and fled the scene, throwing the officer from the vehicle as he fled.

Man walks in on girlfriend entangled with a naked man — Francisco Alvarez IV, arrested

23-year-old Francisco Alvarez IV is free on a $10,000 bond after police say he walked in on his girlfriend, Fatemah Harvey, having sex with another man at their apartment. Neighbors called the police due to the screaming coming from the apartment once Alvarez returned home. Fatemah says she and the other man were naked in the throes of passion when Alvarez returned home and began fighting her paramour. As she attempted to break up the fight, he reportedly grabbed her by the throat and pressed her against the wall, causing her to be unable to breathe. She says he also struck her in the face, leaving her bloody and unable to feel her nose.

Father calls police to report son assaulted him two days after it happened — Anthony Holt, arrested

Charles Holt called Metro Nashville Police to his home to report that two days prior to the call, his 25-year-old son, Anthony Holt, had assaulted him. He says the two were in a verbal argument, and when the father attempted to leave the residence to de-escalate the situation, Anthony grabbed his right arm and “threw him to the side.” Officers observed a visible injury to the victim’s right arm. During an interview, Anthony told officers he did grab his father during the altercation.

Sandra Gonzalez charged with assault of her daughter and sister in South Nashville

25-year-old Sandra Gonzalez is charged with the domestic assault of her daughter and her sister after police say she hit her sister’s vehicle in the driveway of a South Nashville residence. As Gonzalez left her vehicle, she reportedly came toward her sister, Herenira Morales, aggressively and repeatedly struck her during the assault. While approaching her sister, she pushed down her juvenile daughter, leaving her with abrasions to her knees. Video of the incident was preserved for court.

Greyson Speer charged in downtown assault of man who refused to “party” with him

21-year-old Greyson Sean Speer was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Thursday on an outstanding warrant from October, charging him with an assault in downtown Nashville. The victim, Deroy Murdock, says he was walking with a friend when Speer suddenly approached Murdock, stating, “I want to hang out with you, let’s party!” Murdock explained he and his friend were going back to their hotel for the night and did not want to “party.” As they walked away, they say Speer followed them and grabbed Murdock, putting him on the ground by force. With help from his friend, Murdoc escaped Speer’s grasp, and they ran away. As this was happening, an unrelated bystander was also calling 911 to report the incident as it happened. Officers documented injuries, and after an investigation, a warrant was issued for Speer’s arrest.

McDonald’s Manager Susan Ray “hired” her husband, entered fake hours into payroll system

Police say 47-year-old Susan Ray was employed as a Manager at a Charlotte Pike McDonalds by Grayco Management in 2019. From January until September of that year, she hired her spouse into the store’s payroll system and manually entered hours into the system each pay period for which he never actually worked. The funds were distributed to the couple’s joint bank account as payroll. In total, she stole $6,089.16 during the period.

Shatner Franchi (AKA DJ Shatner) charged with DUI in downtown Nashville

Police were dispatched to 3rd Ave N near the railroad crossing as citizens reported a white Range Rover parked in the middle of the road for an extended period of time. When police arrived, the vehicle had moved to the parking lot nearby. Officers made contact with 35-year-old Shatner Franchi, known locally as DJ Shatner, who was rummaging through the vehicle, telling officers he was searching for his phone. when officers asked how much he had to drink, he initially said two 24oz beers and later said 1-8 beers. Franchi wasn’t sure where he was coming from or where he was going and couldn’t recall where he lived. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and eventually blew a 0.126% on a breathalyzer.

Southwest passenger Kevin Comeaux found “dazed and confused” at airport bar

Nashville Airport Police found 22-year-old Kevin Comeaux slumped over and asleep at the bar of the Puckett’s restaurant on Concourse D. Officer awakened him for a welfare check and found him very “dazed and confused,” and it was apparent he had urinated on himself while at the bar. He refused to provide his name, only offering that he was fine and flying with Southwest Airlines. A Southwest representative responded to the bar and advised him he would be denied boarding due to his state of intoxication. The officer attempted to escort him to the unsecured side of the airport where he could be rebooked for a later flight; however, Comeaux refused to cooperate. He was taken into custody and transported to booking.

Imani Amuri — Two DUIs in 27 days, pre-trial release on both arrests

20-year-old Imani Amuri was charged with DUI on April 10th after he crashed into a utility pole in Madison, and officers found him passed out behind the wheel and a car full of empty small liquor bottles. He blew a 0.228% BAC. Despite a commissioner setting his bond at $3,000, the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release. 27 days later, on May 7th, he would lose control of his car once again and be arrested for a new DUI. This time a judicial commissioner set his bond at $5,000, and once again, the DCSO gave him pre-trial release.

Philip Davenport asks “I’m really drunk, aren’t I?”, with house key in ignition of his Lexus at Taco Bell

Metro Nashville Police responded to the Taco Bell on the 2900 block of Gallatin Pike Wednesday night on a report of a disorderly person. Employees stated that 63-year-old Philip Davenport was stumbling around his 2003 Lexus SC430 in the parking lot. Police approached the man and observed his house key was in the ignition and the vehicle’s ignition key in the outside door keyhole. After performing poorly on field sobriety tests, Davenport stated, “I’m really drunk, aren’t I?”

Two arrested after Blank Street Brawl —Aerius Collier & Donisha Eddings

27-year-old Aerius Collier and 23-year-old Donisha Eddings were taken into custody after fleeing a fight near Blank & Herman Streets Wednesday night. Two guns were recovered from the vehicle. Eddings’ infant son was in an unsecured child carrier in the backseat. The infant, who was not injured, has been placed with a family member. The Department of Children’s Services was also notified.

Man charged in rape of daughter who now has STI — held on ICE Detainer — Ronaldo Saul Monteroso Gonzalez

25-year-old Ronaldo Saul Monteroso Gonzalez is jailed on a $250,000 bond, charged with the aggravated rape of a child. The juvenile victim, who is his daughter, was transported to Vanderbilt Pediatrics for a possible sexual assault. The child disclosed that “she doesn’t want daddy to touch her anymore because it hurts.” The forensic exam and results occurred on February 27th, and the child tested positive for an STI; however, police say they could not locate Gonzalez until May 11th. His wife states he’s had contact with their children in the time in between, and they were with him as recently as “a few days ago.”

New York man determined to party at Nudie’s Honky Tonk — Matthew Cebulski arrested

22-year-old Matthew Cebulski was determined to keep the party going at Nudie’s Honky Tonk on Broadway in downtown Nashville Tuesday night, despite being kicked out of the venue. Bouncers at the location say Cebulsk was causing a disturbance, so they escorted him out the back door and advised him he was no longer welcome on the property. Matt Cebulski then walked around the building and back inside through the front door. He was once again escorted outside but remained undeterred. He then attempted to climb through the front window of the establishment and reportedly spit on a bouncer who dared to attempt to stop him.

Nicole Moore charged with public intoxication after unable locate friend, knocking on random doors

Late Tuesday night, downtown officers were called to Middleton Street on a complaint of 29-year-old Nicole Moore pulling on door handles and knocking on the doors of random apartments and condos in the area. Police noted her to be extremely intoxicated, unsteady when standing, smelling of alcohol, and with slurred speech. She does not live in the area but stated she was visiting a friend who she was unable to locate.

Child Sex Indictment: Metro Cop, Kipp Teacher, Former Joelton Band Director accused with same victim

A Metro Nashville Police Officer, A former Joelton Middle School Band Director (who was more recently a Fisk University Professor), and their friend, who is now a High School Health teacher at Kipp Academy, are all charged with various sex crimes against a boy who was 13-year-old at the first incident, some of which have continued as recent as 2017. All three men are friends at took part in a young mentoring group through a college fraternity. The men are MNPD Officer Corey Reed, 31, Kipp Teacher Derek Calvon Hill, 25, and MavVelous Brown, 30, who is not yet in custody.

Nashville’s Brenda Ross: Arrested. Stalking. Pics in a Swingers club. Orders of protection. Friend of the Mayor. Friend of Funk.

67-year-old Brenda Ross has been involved in more entanglements in the last two months than some folks experience in two decades. In March, Jacinta West received an order of protection against Ross after she said Ross, who was one of the first members of Nashville’s Police Community Oversight Board, stalked her. The two share a circle of friends, some of who warned that Ross had posted on social media alluding she was going o fuck them up and that she was “going to get them.” West says Ross then followed and chased her one night at might as she was picking up a friend, even pulling up beside her and yelling curse words at her. Previously in January, Ross reportedly grabbed West’s wrist while at a nightclub. West states she remains in fear of Ross, and her “political ties” only make the situation worse. Ross is an East Nashvillian who has served on several mayoral-appointed commissions over the years and can be found hobnobbing with the city’s elite on any given night of the week. Ross was jailed on Monday for violating one of the many current orders of protection. She is free on a $1,500 bond.

Over 50 empty beers found in car during DUI investigation — Manuel Garcia arrested

Metro Nashville Police encountered 38-year-old Manual Alberto Garcia at a Mapco on Murfreesboro Pike, where he was parked at a gas pump. As Garcia attempted to exit his vehicle while stumbling, officers observed multiple open containers of Michelob Ultra in the cup holders, including a freshly opened cold beer. On the floorboard of his vehicle, there were over 50 empty bottles of beer. He stated he had consumed 6 beers at that point in the evening.

Elaine Nugent charged in brutal candlestick holder assault of her son — blames it on him

73-year-old Elaine McCarty Nugent, of Joelton, is charged with the wild aggravated domestic assault of her grown son using a candlestick holder, leaving him with three bloody severe lacerations to the top of his head. When confronted about the assault, she tried to downplay that anything happened, eventually blaming her own son, saying he must have injured himself since he was “mentally ill and suicidal,” a claim she attempted to use multiple times. She was “verbally combative and uncooperative” during the investigation, according to officers. Her disdain for the law and law enforcement isn’t anything new, as she frequently ignores court dates and will be extradited to Sumner County when she’s done in Nashville to face multiple failures to appear and a DUI case she’s been avoiding there since 2019.

California Fire Captain kicked out of Nudie’s Honky Tonk twice in two days — Justin Wilson

43-year-old Justin Wilson, a Captain with the Stockton California Fire Department, unlocked a new achievement while in Nashville. Metro Nashville Police say he was kicked out of Nudie’s Honky Tonk twice in two days. Josh Hightower, the General Manager of the bar, says he advised Wilson to leave the bar on Friday, May 6th, and not return. On Saturday, May 7th, Hightower says Wilson returned to Nudie’s Honky tonk. Police were contacted, and during an interview, Wilson reportedly told them he did not remember being kicked out the night before. Police took Wilson into custody and charged him with criminal trespass due to him being removed the night before, and refusing to leave when asked on this visit.
