Chase Koglin charged in assault of girlfriend who was taking too long with her makeup

29-year-old Chase Koglin is accused of “beating on” his girlfriend, Hannah Crague, in their apartment, according to the report she gave police when they arrived. He had left the scene but was picked up nearby based on her description of him. Koglin says the two had been arguing because she was taking too long to put on makeup to visit a friend’s house. She reportedly then refused to go and threw her makeup at the wall and says he eventually struck her in the face. Officers found her with a bloody towel, from her injuries.

71-year-old Margaret Gilliam attacks East Nashville neighbor with walking cane

71-year-old Margaret Gilliam is free on pre-trial release after she admitted to police that she, indeed, swing her walking cane in an attempt to knock out her neighbor, Victoria Ferris, striking her with the makeshift weapon. Both parties report ongoing issues over the past several weeks, and Ferris says she’s been intimidated and assaulted on multiple prior occasions. A witness, William Looper, was sitting on a bench and observed the apparent unprovoked assault.

NY Tourist Robert Mason screams “This is America!” before assaulting MNPD Officers: pre-trial release

22-year-old Robert Mason, of New York, is charged with the assault of two Metro Nashville Police Officers, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and resisting arrest after employees flagged down police for assistance as he was being kicked out of Scoreboard Bar & Grill. Refusing to let officers call a friend to help him leave on his own, he clenched his fists, took a fighting stance, and screamed “THIS IS AMERICA!”. Officers tackled him as he began to resist arrest. He Grabbed Officer Joshua McGarvey’s ring finger while twisting and clenching it, which caused an injury to his finger and a hyperextended knee from the fight. He also caused scratch injuries to Officer Snyder from his fingernails.

Giovanni Johnson charged with robbing roommates at gunpoint — 2 other men still at large

Metro Nashville Police say 21-year-old Giovanni Johnson came by his home to grab some things and left after a short period of time. Moments later, he returned to the home, which he shares with his two roommates, Lavonn Nevels, Jr., and Ricky Peoples, Jr. — except this time he brought two unknown men back to the home, and all were armed with handguns. The trio held the two roommates at gunpoint and robbed them while pistol-whipping them in the face and forehead. Nevels says he was robbed of $4,000 in cash.

Chris Bond charged with pushing girlfriend out of car & driving away at Noodles & Company

22-year-old Chris Bond is charged with the domestic assault of his girlfriend, Alanja Little, after a witness says he pushed her out of the car in the parking lot of Noodles & Company and then continued to drive as she held onto the door, leaving her with injuries, including road rash. Prior to the assault, the couple had been in an argument and her phone was tossed to the ground, resulting in her jumping on his back and pulling his hair. Bond was taken into custody and the victim was transported to Vanderbilt for medical treatment.

Joshua Lilley charged with vandalism of his bother’s car from 2020

23-year-old Joshua Lilley was booked into the Metro Nashville jail on a nearly two-year-old warrant, charging him with vandalism. The event, which occurred in May of 2020, alleges got angry with his brother and attempted to fight him, but settled for damaging the back door of his vehicle as he fled the scene of the disturbance. Officers documented several dents and scratches in the car of this brother, Zachary Lilley.

MNPD quickly responds to teen pulling on car door of off-duty cop’s neighbor — Jacob Phillips arrested

Despite 48-hour response times for stolen cars, when an off-duty Metro Police Officer noticed a teen pulling on the door handles of her neighbor’s vehicle, the calvary was on the way. She watched 19-year-old Jacob Phillips attempt to open several vehicles, eventually setting off the alarm on one of the cars. While the teen fled the area, the off-duty officer followed him and called for on-duty personnel to respond to the scene. Officers arrived and took him into custody, retrieved video evidence, and charged him with felony attempted burglary of a motor vehicle.

Teens charged with joyriding & unauthorized use of vehicle —Daniel Meadows & Christian Bigsby

On Tuesday, MNPD’s Violent Crimes Task Force began tracking a vehicle that was reported stolen by Andrew Minge. It was initially located at 95 White Bridge Pike, but detectives observed it move to Kroger at 4560 Harding Pike. Officers were able to take all occupants into custody as they exited the vehicle. 18-year-old Christian Bigsby was in the vehicle and was charged with joyriding. 18-year-old Daniel Meadows was also in the vehicle and is charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, contributing to the delinquency of a minor who was also in the vehicle, and illegal possession of a handgun found on him during a search.

Makenzzie Mayberry uses soda bottle to assault motel mate who slept with her fiance

18-year-old Makenzzie Mayberry is charged with the domestic assault of her roommate at the Lotus Inn and Suites, who she says had sex with her fiance. A witness to the events, who is Mayberry’s cousin, tells police they all returned to the motel on April 24 after a day of arguing and fighting about the entanglement. Mayberry then threw a small plastic soda bottle at the victim, Keana Jonson, striking her in the center of the forehead, causing a small laceration. Nashville Fire transported the victim to the hospital and Metro Police took Mayberry into custody for the assault.

DUI: Jason Tolbert admits to drinking whisky, officers found his flask in car #arrested

Police say 39-year-old Jason Tolbert became “verbally argumentative” with both officers and hospital staff after a magistrate signed a warrant to have his blood drawn after he was charged with DUI Saturday night. An officer witnessed him fail to yield to another vehicle, nearly causing a crash, and conducted a traffic stop during which Tolbert admitted to drinking whisky, and had a flask with him. He failed field sobriety tests and was transported to booking.

Nashville Attorney Michael Killen charged with DUI after crash

When Metro Police responded to a traffic crash in downtown Nashville, they found 41-year-old Michael Killen driving his red Saturn, which he had driven into the rear of another vehicle. Sgt. Amabile says he could smell alcohol coming from Killen, and observed obvious signs of impairment. Killen stated he drank alcohol, however, it was 24-hours prior to driving. He refused field sobriety tests and was taken into custody, charged with DUI, and given pre-trial release.

Jerock Walker continues county jail tour, now transferred to Nashville on domestic assault charges & probation violation

22-year-old Jerock Walker has been now been transferred to the Metro Nashville Jail to face his Nashville charges as he continues his year-long tour of middle Tennessee jails. The current charges for Nashville include two new warrants from January of 2021, charging him with two counts of domestic assault of his then roommates, Tatianna Johnson and Ke’maurius Wright. He reportedly told both parties they better pack their things or he would pack them for them. During an escalating argument, Jerock grabbed Tatianna and forcibly pulled her out of the home, and did the same to Ke’maurius while assaulting him. Jerock has been covered multiple prior times for theft, retail theft, domestic assaults, stealing from his grandmother, and a multitude of other petty crimes. In addition to the new charges, he has a probation violation and two failures to appear, bringing his total bond amount for Nashville to $26,000 and a probation hold.

Everyone goes to jail: Carlandro Branch, Destinee Turnipseed, & Maicole Shelton

Police responded to a domestic disturbance call on April 25th to find that 22-year-old Carlandro Branch had taken the phones of both 20-year-old Maicole Shelton and the mother of this child, 20-year-old Destinee Turnipseed, as they attempted to call the police to report that Branch had pulled her hair when during a child custody exchange. As he fled with their phones, Maicole Shelton grabbed a baseball bat and chased Carlandro Branch. The mother of the child, Destinee Turnipseed, also busted out two windows at the residence. She says she broke the first one in an attempt to get someone’s attention and the second one in anger. Everyone went to jail and bonded right out… the end.

Wife calls cops on her husband who takes neighbor’s Cadillac for a DUI drive — Calvin Howse

Quinetta Howse called Metro Nashville Police on Sunday to report her husband, 38-year-old Calvin Howse, had been drinking since Friday and was out on the road driving their neighbor’s white Cadillac on a revoked license. Officer arrived at the neighborhood, they indeed found him in the Caddy, driving down the street with an alcoholic beverage in his hand. He held the beverage up to officers and stated “these will get you f***-d up real quick!”. He explained he was simply using the car to go get more alcohol, and he knew he was going to jail… and he did.

DUI: Paige Hauff explains it was rude to have headlights on in front of another car

When police asked 33-year-old Paige Hauff why she was driving with no headlights on thru East Nashville in the early hours of Sunday morning, she simply stated “because I was in front of another car and I didn’t want to be rude”… she would later clarify that she meant she had been ‘parked’ in front of another car earlier and had not turned them back on while driving inbound on Gallatin Pike. Officers say she was obviously intoxicated, and she admitted to drinking two vodka drinks prior to driving. She also stated she had Zoloft and used a marijuana vape pen, which was with her. She also had empty Tiny Bomb beer cans, and an empty Ranch Water can in the vehicle. Hauff was transported to booking and her car towed to impound.

Shelley Schroeder charged with sexually assaulting woman at Legends Corner downtown

52-year-old Shelley Schroeder is charged with sexually assaulting another woman at Legends Corner in downtown Nashville. The victim. Rebecca Orlich, says she was standing and listening to music when she felt a hand go up under her skirt and “palm” her buttocks. As she spun around, she observed Schroeder standing behind her, along with a male companion. The male stated: “just leave her alone, she’s drunk”. Police were called to the scene and witnesses corroborated the events.

Ashley Lynn Russell charged in assault of her lover after day of drinking

After a Saturday of drinking from Noon until 10 p.m., 25-year-old Ashley Lynn Russell was charged with the domestic assault of her lover, Sam Taylor. The couple just moved to Nashville a few months ago. During separate interviews at the home, both parties’ statements were consistent. An argument turned physical, and Ashely assaulted Sam by pushing him. He attempted to keep her away, using his knee to attempt to keep distance between the two, which is when she called the police for assistance, despite continuing to strike him. Ashley Russell was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

Alonzo Moore charged with strangulation of girlfriend after she stopped him from drunk driving

24-year-old Alonzo Moore is charged with the felony aggravated assault and strangulation of his girlfriend, Daysha Hill, after she refused to allow him to drive due to his level of intoxication. In an argument over the keys to her car, he reportedly grabbed her by the throat, laughed at her, pushed her against a mirror, then threw her to the ground. Police arrived to find the home in disarray from the struggle and documented injuries on the victim.

Leon Lewis III jailed on $80K bond after murdering a small dog at Hermitage Hotel

Metro Nashville Police say 39-year-old Leon Lewis III walked out of the Suburban Extended Stay Hotel in Hermitage with a small black dog on a leash and into a ditch, pulled a revolver, and shot the dog. A witness observed the small dog’s tail still wagging while he bled to death from the mouth. Lewis stated “I should’ve just let the dog go” as he was arrested and charged with aggravated animal cruelty, felon in possession of a weapon, and aggravated reckless endangerment. He is jailed in lieu of an $80,000 bond.

22-year-old Isaiah Cooke reportedly struck the mother of his child in the back of her head after she unplugged his Xbox as a motivation to help her pack things so they could leave. After he assaulted her in the head, she then grabbed his genitals in what she says was “self-defense”, and in reaction, he reportedly elbowed her in the nose. Cooke says she only yanked the controller from him and that he simply pulled her to the ground by her hair.

Juan Moreno to wife: “You’re going to know what it’s like to get beat”

Juliana Leos says her husband, 36-year-old Juan Moreno, punched her in the face and then held her down to a bed while choking her with one hand. She says he exclaimed, “You are going to know what it’s like to get beat”. Police documented blood coming from the victim’s nose as well as marks from being choked. When questioned, Moreno claims his wife just “suddenly sat up and hit his face into his shoulder”, leading to all of her injuries. Moreno was charged with aggravated assault/strangulation.
