27-year-old Tanner Taliaferro told officers he had “one shot at work” when asked how much he had been drinking after an East Nashville traffic stop last weekend. He was pulled over due to an improper stop and crossing the center-line multiple times. Officers noted obvious signs of intoxication in an arrest report, and Taliaferro agreed to a breathalyzer which resulted in a BAC of 0.223 as the highest reading. He is free on pre-trial release.

Man walks in on wife while she’s Facetiming a naked man from their daughter’s room — Abel Aguilar

32-year-old faces a domestic assault charge after he reportedly walked in on his wife (they are married, but separated) in their daughter’s room while she was Facetiming with a man who was exposing himself. He grabbed the phone to speak to the man, and ultimately tossed it to the ground, destroying it. Over the course of the next two days, there were multiple arguments, and Abel says his wife pushed him against a wall while acting belligerently and screaming, then called police on him.

His wife then called police to report that she returned home from work to find all of her belongings in the common living room, and as she began to move them back into other rooms of the home, she says he pushed her, she pushed him back, at which time he punched her in the eye and broke her glasses. Aguilar is charged with two counts of vandalism and domestic assault. He is free on a $2,000 cash bond.

27-year-old Blake Aaron is free on pre-trial release after being charged with DUI – 2nd Offense after crashing his Nissan Sentra into another vehicle at 612 Broadway in downtown Nashville. He admitted drinking prior to the crash, and to a prior DUI in the state of Kentucky. He was unable to complete standard field sobriety tests, however, a blood draw was completed at General Hospital before he was transported to booking.

Woman charged with stealing pills, destroying home of woman who helped her with shelter during storm — Kayla Pemberton

27-year-old Kayla Pemberton was booked into the Meto Nashville Jail Tuesday on several outstanding warrants which stemmed from her stay with a South Nashville resident. Warrants allege that in February a resident allowed Pemberton and her son to temporarily stay with her for a few days due to the winter storms. When she advised them they had to leave when the storms were over, Pemberton allegedly became angry and started “destroying the apartment” by throwing things around and breaking them, including cups and an ashtray, which caused damage to the carpet.

The victim, who is in a wheelchair, says Pemberton pushed her which caused bruising to her arms, and took a bottle of approximately 50 prescription pills and food before finally leaving the apartment as requested. Officers documented the disarray of the apartment, including broken dishes on the floor. Kayla Pemberton is charged with assault, theft, and vandalism, and is free on a $3,000 bond.

Woman charged with DUI-2nd after found unconscious behind the wheel in West Nashville — Leann Bernard

41-year-old State of Tennessee employee Leann ‘Lee-Lea’ Bernard was found unconscious behind the wheel of her vehicle in West Nashville, and medics alerted police when they revived her and she was stumbling around with no obvious medical reason. She eventually admitted to officers she had been drinking, and they located two empty beer cans and one nearly empty bottle of vodka in the vehicle. Bernard pleaded guilty to a prior DUI in July of 2019. She was given pre-trial release on the new charge. Bernard is a software developer under the Department of Finance, according to state records.

Two Fort Campbell Soldiers charged in DUI crash that took down utility pole — Diego Loza & Garrett Edwards

23-year-old Fort Campbell soldier Garrett Edwards crashed into a utility pole on the Shelby Street entrance ramp to I-24, knocking it over. The car he was driving belonged to his roommate, and fellow soldier, 21-year-old Diego Loza. Both were heavily intoxicated, according to police, and Edwards admitted to consuming “5 or 6 Miller Lite beers”. Edwards blew a 0.157 BAC when tested. Edwards was charged with DUI, and Loza was charged with DUI per se, as he was the vehicle owner, and knowingly allowed Edwards to drive his vehicle while intoxicated. Both were freed on pre-trial release.

Carthage man jailed after refusing to wear mask at Nashville Airport for Southwest flight — Carl Wayne Martin

43-year-old Carl Wayne Martin, of Carthage, faces multiple charges after becoming unruly at the Nashville International Airport and refusing to wear a mask, as mandated for his flight on Southwest Airlines. Airport police were called to gate C18 after Martin was denied boarding when he refused to wear a mask for COVID-19 precautions & policy. Flight attendants and police noted that Martin also appeared to be heavily intoxicated during their interactions. He was offered the opportunity to simply leave the area but refused, so was placed into custody. He pulled away from the arresting officers and refused to get inside the police car for transport, requiring multiple officers to place him in the car against his will. Martin is charged with disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and resisting arrest. He is free on pre-trial release.

Teen charged after slicing Walmart employee with his own box cutter & assaults him with hammer— Tonisha Mitchell

19-year-old Tonisha Mitchell was booked on an outstanding warrant Tuesday, charging her with aggravated assault with serious bodily injury. Court documents reveal she was identified after she arrived at the Madison Police Precinct to retrieve property she lost during an altercation at Walmart. During that altercation, she and her boyfriend confronted a store employee they had ongoing issues with as he was clocking out. As her boyfriend began to assault the victim, identified as Tavarius Cameron, Tonisha reportedly swung a hammer at the victim, and when someone took the hammer from her she took the box cutter from the victim’s pants and sliced him with it. The victim suffered lacerations to his head requiring stitches. Tonisha Mitchell is jailed in lieu of a $150,000 bond.

21-year-old De Yana Johnson is free on a $15,000 bond after police say she intentionally drove her vehicle into her mother’s vehicle while attempting to hit her mother, and her juvenile child was inside the car, unrestrained. The domestic disturbance reportedly started over her moving out of the residence and escalated when De Yana grabbed a crowbar from her vehicle and threatened her mother, Pasonica Tillman, with it before getting into her vehicle and attempting to run over her mother. Johnson faces felony vandalism, child endangerment, and aggravated assault with deadly weapon charges.

Teen climbs through ex-girlfriend’s window at 5 a.m. & demands she come with him at gunpoint — Bryant Enemecio Cruz-Corrales

Metro Police say 19-year-old Bryant Enemecio Cruz-Corrales often climbs through the bedroom window of his juvenile ex-girlfriend to visit her during late night and early morning hours. On November 12th at 5 a.m. court records show he once again visited her while she was sleeping, and bit her on her cheek to wake her up. He asked her to come with him to Virginia to visit his family, and when she told him no he brandished a black handgun and pointed it at her face, saying he would shoot her if she didn’t come with him. She repeatedly told him ‘no’, and he eventually left her home after multiple refusals. He remains jailed in like of a $75,000 bond, charged with aggravated burglary, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Woman ‘destroys’ car of her baby daddy while it’s at downtown dealership — Jamya Fowler arrested

Downtown Nashville Nissan called Reggie Pitts on November 17th to tell him a female in a Chevy Malibu had just pulled up and was “destroying” his vehicle at their service center. He immediately recognized the description of the female as that of his former lover, and baby’s mother, 21-year-old Jamya Ashanti Fowler. She had fled the scene by the time the victim and police arrived, however, security footage captured the entire event, showing her striking and destroying multiple parts of the vehicle with various objects. A warrant was issued for her arrest, and she was booked on the felony vandalism charge on 11/23. She is free on a $5,000 bond.

Attorneys for Country Musician John Eason filed an extraordinary petition in Circuit Court this week in an attempt to silence a number of people that claim he is providing alcohol to, and having sex with, underage girls. Accusations have surrounded the Wilson County singer’s career in recent months, claiming he was grooming young females at Courtney’s restaurant in Mt. Juliet. Trio charged in alleged attack of family member’s boyfriend – Mother, husband, & son arrested

43-year-old Lameka ‘KeKe’ Dickerson, her 56-year-old husband Dre Phillips, and her 20-year-old son Syxx Dickerson, were all booked into the Metro Nashville jail Saturday on outstanding warrants charging them with domestic assault. Court records show 30-year-old Billy Dean Woodard Jr, who is dating Keke’s daughter, met police at a Thorntons store on Lebanon Pike to report he and his girlfriend had gotten into an argument on November 19th and when he was coming out of the bathroom of the home (where he says they all live), the three family members “jumped him”. He fled in his girlfriend’s vehicle and called police, who met him at Thorntons and then escorted him to the family safety center to obtain warrants and other services. Metro Nashville Police say 28-year-old Rachel Monahan was heavily intoxicated and riding in the back of a taxi on I-40 when she apparently opened the door and jumped out of the vehicle, running toward the side of the road. The driver alerted police, who located her at mile marker 215, where she told them she had “a lot” to drink, and jumped out of the cab because she thought her taxi driver “was weird”. Metro Nasvhille Police found 37-year-old tourist Amanda Girard sitting on a downtown sidewalk crying for an unknown reason. She stated she had been out drinking while celebrating a friend’s birthday. Observing that she was entirely too intoxicated to care for herself, police offered her a medical ride to the hospital, transport to her hotel, or to assist her in finding her friends – all of which she explicitly refused. Metro Nashville Police say 46-year-old Lynn Flick told them he was coming from drinking “two hard seltzers” at Tribe Bar on Church Street when he crashed his Jeep Liberty into fixtures on McGavock Pike, fled the scene of the wreck, and began hopping fences into backyards. One witness, who provided cell phone video of the incident, says he appeared to be asleep behind the wheel at the time of the crash. As police found him, they noted he was “clumsily” climbing over a fence gate, which was obviously unlocked and he could have simply opened. He is charged with DUI 2nd, and is free on pre-trial release.
