29-year-old Jamie Davis-Jones was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Tuesday on an outstanding warrant from November, charging her with domestic assault. According to an arrest warrant and a witness statement, her husband was attempting to get some rest before work, however, she demanded they have a conversation now, so she could reportedly accuse him of cheating. As he walked to the bedroom to get some rest, she followed him and trapped him inside. When attempted to nudge back past her, she latched onto him, leaving a visible bite injury to his bicep area. Man charged in assault of boyfriend after he doesn’t want to go out — Richard Hall arrested

29-year-old Richard Hall is charged with the domestic assault of his boyfriend after police say he demanded the victim get ready to meet a friend, and the victim refused, saying he didn’t feel well. The couple, who was staying at a Goodlettsville hotel, had prior domestic disturbances, and as the victim attempted to call to report the current situation using code words, Hall reportedly took the phone from him, and threw him across the bed, resulting in bodily injury. Hall is charged with interfering with an emergency call and domestic assault, and is jailed in lieu of a $2,000 bond.

34-year-old Rebecca Moss was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Friday night after a traffic stop resulted in her arrest. Officers initially pulled her over for failing to maintain her lane of travel, and once stopped, quickly realized she was driving under the influence. Officers noted an open pint of whiskey in the cup holder next to her, and when she was asked to step out of the vehicle, she climbed completely over the console and out the passenger side door, while exclaiming how mad her lawyer was going to be at her. Moss was charged with having an open container, and DUI 2nd, and is free on pre-trial release.

Tourist jailed after biting bouncer at Nudie’s Honky Tonk — Andrew Hunter Munden #VisitMusicCity

24-year-old Andrew ‘Hunter’ Munden was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail early Sunday morning after Metro Nashville Police responded to Nudie’s Honky Tonk after Munden had been kicked out of the bar and continued to cause a disturbance. Police say after being removed from the venue, Munden then attempted to run past the bouncers to re-enter the bar. As they stopped him, he latched his teeth onto one of the bouncers, biting him. The bouncer did not press charges for the assault, however, police took Munden into custody and charged him with public intoxication.

Man charged with DUI after night out with wife, who Ubers home, instead — Cameron Nichols

Police say 32-year-old Cameron Nichols was standing outside his crashed vehicle, which went through a utility pole, when they arrived at Edmonson Pike Saturday night and reeked of alcohol. He explained that he and his wife, Holly Nichols, had been out to dinner, and he consumed two beers and an “old-fashioned” cocktail. His wife had taken an Uber home, but he decided to drive. He provided his credit card when asked for his ID, showed signs of intoxication on all field sobriety tests, and then told officers he had not eaten for “several hours” despite claiming he had just had dinner. Nichols was transported to the Metro Nashville jail, and charged with DUI – driving under the influence. He is free on pre-trial release.

Tourist too drunk for Honky Tonk Central — Blake William Miller charged with public intoxication

24-year-old Blake William Miller was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Saturday evening just after 8 p.m. as he caused a disturbance at Honky Tonk Central and refused to leave after he was kicked out of the bar. Security eventually had to call Metro Police Officers and encountered Miller, who initially claimed to have left his debit card inside, but then changed his mind about its location, and noticed he was heavily intoxicated. After Miller continued to refuse to leave the premises, he was transported to booking, and charged with public intoxication.

19-year-old Ava Purifoy had to be carried out of Bridgestone Arena by off-duty officers Saturday night after she caused a scene inside from being overly intoxicated. As she was being placed into custody and the rear of a patrol car she began to kick her legs at officers and scream. She then kicked the windows from inside the car, demanding to be let out of custody. She eventually admitted to consuming “three drinks”. She was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

18-year-old John Demonte Crutcher was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Friday, charged with the sexual battery of a 14-year-old female victim on a school bus in November. Crutcher admitted to “groping” the young girl’s breast and said he shouldn’t have touched her. The victim says he placed his hand on her thigh while sitting next to her on the school bus, stared at his hand, and stated “to grab or not to grab” before grabbing her. She pushed him away, and the incident was confirmed by a witness. Crutcher is free on a $1,000 bond.

Hoan Bui charged with DUI after drinking downtown & driving wrong way on Bell Rd — 0.115 BAC

37-year-old Hoan Bui told police he had 2-3 beers and a shot of liquor in downtown Nashville before crashing his vehicle early Saturday morning. A witness observed him driving the wrong way on Bell Road just before the crash. Bui blew a 0.115 BAC on a breathalyzer and was charged with DUI, and was additionally booked on an outstanding citation from 2018, charging him with driving on a suspended license. Nashville Beauty Influencer arrested after crash injures her passenger — Zulangel Pacheco @zdcpn

24-year-old Zulangel Pacheo, who has about 100K fans across social media platforms, was driving one of the vehicles involved in a crash on Saturday. Two people had to be transported to Vanderbilt with serious injuries. A person from the other vehicle had a broken femur, and the passenger in Pacheo’s vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries. Pacheo was found to have no insurance and no license to drive, resulting in her mandatory arrest under state law, since injuries occurred. She was transported to the Metro Nashville Jail, and charged with driving without a license and without insurance. She is free on pre-trial release.

Tennessee Brew Works sues over an anonymous review that was deleted, accusing employee & founder of using ‘N-word’

Tennessee Brew Works has filed a “John Doe” lawsuit against the person that left an anonymous review, which claimed to overhear brewer Matt Simpson and the company’s founder Christian Spears using the ‘N-word’ during a tour of the brewery. Though the review was posted on social media for a short period of time, it was eventually removed and had disappeared into the ethers of the internet. The company, however, was determined to let the world know it was not racist, and filed a defamation lawsuit against the person, including what was essentially a list of the company’s “black friends” and “POC Events” it and its founders participated in, as evidence it, nor its founders, were racist. They also included the deleted review as an exhibit, which will now be back on the internet, as part of this story.

Deatric Woods jailed on $50K bond after Jerry Springeresque robbery involving current and past lovers

20-year-old Deatric Woods former lovers, including one who he was previously arrested for assaulting and another woman whose connection is unclear, to assist him in a new robbery of his most recent ex-girlfriend, who he also was already charged with robbing just weeks prior. Metro Police say Kiaria Robinson reported she was leaving her East Nashville workplace when two females she recognized as Leah Johnson and Sa’Mya Pratt, approached her and began to fight her, knocking her to the ground. While she was being assaulted, her ex-boyfriend, Deatric Woods, appeared with the group of people, including another unknown female, and facilitated the robbery of her iPhone, cash, and bank cards. Victoria Rogers then drove the getaway vehicle which transported all of the suspects away from the scene.

In April of 2021, Deatric Woods was charged with the assault of his then-girlfriend, Sa’Mya Pratt. Court records show he assaulted her with a brick, ripped her wig off, and drug her in the grass by her legs after she broke up with him (2021-0204217). More recently, in August of 2021, Woods was charged with the first robbery of Kiaria Robinson, after striking her in the back of the head with a pistol and taking her phone and $60 from her purse at gunpoint while they were dating. Woods remains jailed on a $50,000 bond for this case and has six other cases currently pending.

Blake Taylor booked on 2-year-old outstanding trespass warrant from Kid Rock’s bar

24-year-old Blake Taylor was booked this week on an outstanding citation charging him with criminal trespass a Kid Rock’s bar in downtown Nashville after he was kicked out not once, not twice, but three times in the same night in 2019, and continued to return despite being told he was no longer welcome at the venue. Officers issued him a state citation for which he was originally scheduled to appear in April of 2019 but failed to do so. Taylor was booked into the Metro Nashville jail on the outstanding warrant on December 8th and was released on his own recognizance.

Man charged with public intox & resisting arrest on Vanderbilt Campus — Severin Dean Shultis

Vanderbilt University Police received a call regarding a person at the entrance of Medical Center East who was yelling and tossing items off a desk at the hospital entrance. 24-year-old Severin Shultis was located a short time later on campus and was identified as the person responsible for causing the scene. Police say he was extremely intoxicated and attempted to run around the officer who was placing him under arrest. He is charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest. 23-year-old Mark Alan Richardson, from Texas, was found yelling and screaming from inside a locked & gated courtyard area of the Nashville Symphony in downtown Nashville. He apparently was unable to get out of the area, and venue security told police they believe he had to scale the eight-foot-tall gates to get stuck inside. Richardson refused to speak to officers and was transported to the Metro Nashville Jail, charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and criminal trespass. He is free on pre-trial release.

Teen found in stolen car that breaks down hours later; mom says not so fast, son — Zyon Webb

18-year-old Zyon Webb is charged with felony automobile theft after police responded to a vehicle blocking a lane of travel while having mechanical issues. They found the 18-year-old driving a 2014 Nissan Quest registered to a Josefina Sosa. Webb told the officer he had just purchased the vehicle this morning, however, his mother was also at the scene, and she told officers Webb had no financial means to purchase a vehicle, and there’s no way this vehicle could be his. After police were able to make contact with the vehicle owner, she confirmed the vehicle had been stolen from Antioch. Webb was booked on the outstanding warrant Thursday and remains jailed in lieu of a $10,000 bond.

Nashville Musician booked on 3-year-old suspended license warrant — Emma Kathleen Zinck

24 -year-old Emma Kathleen Zinck was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Thursday on an outstanding bench warrant stemming from when she failed to appear for her booking date on a driving without a license state citation she received in 2018. She was originally stopped in West Nashville just before midnight with a headlight out when the officer discovered she was driving on a suspended Virginia driver’s license. He issued her a citation, and she never showed up for court. A bench warrant was issued for her arrest in May of 2018 and had been outstanding until yesterday. She was ROR’d from custody.

Florida Man charged after being drunk and disorderly at Whiskey Row — Jacob Bennett #VisitMusicCity

29-year-old tourist Jacob Bennett, from Florida, was booked into the Metro Nashville jail just before midnight Thursday after causing a scene at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row on Broadway in downtown Nashville. Officers working the Entertainment District Initiative (EDI) observed him in a verbal altercation with security staff as he attempted to enter an exit door of the venue. He was asked to leave the property and refused and was eventually taken into custody for public intoxication. He was additionally charged with resisting arrest after he pulled his hands and arms away from being cuffed, and it took multiplied MNPD officers to subdue him into custody. Bennett is free on pre-trial release.

Homeless “ninja” arrested in Goodlettsville attempting to break into vehicle — Christopher Brimm

A Goodlettsville resident called police to report a person “dressed like a ninja” was attempting to break into his work vehicle. Officers quickly located 20-year-old Christopher Brimm nearby. Police say he was easily identifiable, as he was wearing all black clothing with a balaclava covering his head and face, gloves, and carrying a duffle bag with a headlamp style flashlight and large knives and a machete. Brimm stated he was homeless and sometimes “explored” homes he believed to be abandoned. He was charged with attempted auto burglary and possession of burglary tools after his bag contained various tools including picking tools, a Dremel, and pliers. A commissioner set his bond at $2,000.

Downtown employee charged in attack of TLC Inspector who demanded he wear a mask — Sam Shapiro

24-year-old Samuel Barron Shapiro is charged with felony aggravated assault after a grand jury indicted him on the charge stemming from a mask enforcement encounter in downtown Nashville. Court records show Howard “Butch” Morris, while on duty as a TLC commission inspector in October of 2020 demanded that Metro Nashville police issue a citation to Shapiro, who he says had refused to wear a mask, despite multiple requests from the inspector. Shapiro told officers that Morris had been harassing him, and stated he will hit him if he continues to follow him.

Moments later, the inspector approached Shapiro, and Shapiro swung at him twice, missing the first time, and knocking him to the ground as the second punch landed. As the victim sat up from the blow, Shapiro reportedly used his boot to kick the victim in the head. The case was presented to the Grand Jury in September of 2021, at which time a true bill was returned, and a warrant was issued. Shapiro was booked into jail on the charge on December 8th and is free on a $7,500 bond.

Inspector Morris also once sued a Nashville taxi driver for $250,000 after the driver ran over his foot during an altercation as Morris was chastising the driver about using an incorrect pickup location. That case settled out of court.

A witness to the crash, who pulled her from the wreckage, says she also offered him $300 to go on about his day and “let her go”. Court records show she performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was transported to booking where she was charged with DUI and violation of the implied consent law. She is free on a $3,000 bond.

22-year-old Jaqueline Galvin Rubio is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after her mother says Jacqueline used a frying pan to strike her after an argument about drug use. A police report shows that Jaqueline initially grabbed a knife to use toward her mother, but ended up cutting herself with it, by mistake. She is free on a $7,500 bond.
