Use of automated license plate reader technology at BNA led to the discovery of a stolen vehicle, and the arrest of Lajuan Clark. Police found 1.75 pounds of marijuana inside the stolen vehicle, along with ecstasy pills. Clark is free on a $30K bond.

Mother sentenced to 18 months probation for beating child who stole candy & chips from store
After spending 5 days and 19 hours in jail, unable to post her $5,000 bond and ineligible for pre-trial release, Jenita Jones took a plea deal, for which she will serve 18 months on probation in Nashville. As part of the deal, she plead guilty to domestic assault with injury, and the child abuse charge was dismissed.

40-year-old William Howse says he was forced to sell drugs, in order to pay for a needed surgery, because of a lack of medical insurance. He was arrested after a traffic stop, which revealed marijuana, cocaine, and ecstasy in his vehicle. He is held in lieu of a $114,000 bond.
Man tells MNPD he’s “fucking hammered” when found passed out in car at Shwab Elementary School
MNPD Officers found 35-year-old Matthew Johnson passed out across both front seats of his running vehicle, parked at a local elementary school. Johnson told officers “I’m fucking hammered”.
He was charged with DUI, Implied Consent, disorderly conduct, open container, assault of a police officer and resisting arrest. He is now free on pre-trial release.

Man found unresponsive with 4 kids in car, facing wrong direction in middle of traffic
Metro police found 28-year-old Justin Tosh unresponsive behind the wheel of his vehicle Friday afternoon. He was facing the wrong direction in the middle of traffic with 4 children in the vehicle, all under the age of 10. The front seat passenger of the vehicle told officers the two had been smoking “synthetic marijuana” before the incident.
